The landscape and geological diversity have provided opportunities and limitations for the development of culture and settlements in the region. The important geological histories in the geopark, are presented through educational activities and local experiences, and are then recognized out among the surrounding nature. Fundamental knowledge of geology and the interaction between geology, landscape and cultural history is conveyed on various levels. Trollfjell Geopark offers its visitors sustainable, world-class experiences by linking nature and cultural history, in addition to providing our children and youth knowl- edge of natural science and cultural history.
